Technical Overview
Troubleshooting
Do you still have troubles?
Internet connection
By reading this guide one can safely assume your internet connection works. If you use a proxy please make sure that it allows the download of JAR files and is combatible with HTTP/1.1.
Java™
"Perfect 11 Soccer" requires a Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) (offizial version recommended -> www.java.com). Please note that you can use version 1.5 but the downside is that all data has to be loaded at the game start whereas with version 1.6, data will only be loaded when needed.
Java™-Applets
After installing the JRE try out simple applets in your browser. You can use any site using applets or try the offical sun applet demo site http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/index.html. It is essential that the Java-Plugin is installed in the browser (not directly essential for Perfect 11 Soccer) and that Java is installed correctly.
Java3D-Webstart
After testing the Applets it's time to test the Java™ Webstart and the 3D performance of your computer. Try out the Java3D-demos on the offical site https://j3d-webstart.dev.java.net/test/. The Java Webstart files (*.jnlp) have to be opened with the Java Webstart programm javaw.exe. Usually this is the case after all Java™ installations, if not, do so when asked.
